- Hololens 2 – Microsoft unveiled Hololens 2, upgraded version of its mixed reality device, at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain on February 24, 2019
- More Immersive – More than double field of view compared to original Hololens for greater immersive experience
- Greater Comfort – Light carbon fiber material provides triple comfort as opposed to original, allowing more hours of use
- Developer Tools – Also revealed two new cloud-based developer tools, Azure Spatial Anchors and Azure Remote Rendering, for building mixed reality applications
- Other Developments – Include ability to customize Hololens for tougher environments, such as construction and medical operations, prototype of Mozilla Firefox browser, and mixed reality application, called Dynamic 365 Guides, used to train workers with guides or step-by-step instructions
- Pricing and Availability – Will be initially available in U.S., Japan, China, Germany, Canada, U.K., Ireland, France, Australia, and New Zealand for $3,500
