  • Big Data Adoption – 85% of companies surveyed by WEF expect to adopt user and entity big data analytics by 2022, highest among all emerging technologies included in the study
  • Other Emerging Technologies – More than seven in ten companies also expect to adopt app and web-enabled markets (75%), Internet-of-Things (75%), machine learning (73%) and cloud computing (72%)
  • Robotic Adoption – Some companies also looking to adopt various robotic technologies, including stationary robots (37%), non-humanoids (33%), humanoids (23%) and aerial and underwater robots (19%)
  • Key Growth Drivers – Include exponential advances and drop in cost of core technologies (e.g. computing power, artificial intelligence, and network connectivity), intensifying competitive environment, and heightening need to optimize business processes
