- Slow Video Processing – Respondents encounter slow video processing when watching videos from mobile device using mobile broadband, with 64% indicating video buffering problems, 62% saying video loading takes too long to start, 55% experiencing frame freeze where single frame shows repeatedly on screen, and 50% not able to start video
- Low Video Quality – Low video quality also poses a problem according to 57% of respondents with 49% saying video/sound stops playing and 45% citing out-of-sync video and audio
- Key Drivers – Include proliferation of on-demand streaming platforms, increasing bandwidth demand of videos, expanding volume of video content, and rising availability of low-cost devices such as smartphones and tablets
