  • Artificial Intelligence – Software technologies autonomously performing tasks equal to or better than humans
  • Product Development – 44% of executives in 2018 Deloitte survey said enhancement of current products is one of benefits of AI, while 27% said it can help their companies create new products
  • Operations Optimization – More (42%) executives in 2018 cite optimization of internal processes as one of top benefits of artificial intelligence, compared to 36% in 2017, while three in ten still selected improvement of external operations as benefit of AI in 2018, almost same as 2017
  • Decision Making – 35% of participants cited better decision making as benefit of AI, with 27% in 2018 also saying it can help capture and apply scarce knowledge
  • Reduced Headcount – Almost one in four respondents in 2018 selected reducing headcount through automation as primary benefit of AI, more than 22% in 2017
