- Autonomous Capabilities – Robot equipped with LiDAR sensor and multiple cameras combined with machine learning algorithms that can detect and avoid obstacles, travel on sidewalks and along roadsides, as well as navigate unpaved surfaces, curbs, and steps
- Testing – Will test robot by delivering between selected FedEx Office locations, in select markets, by summer of 2019
- Next Steps – Refine robot based on specific customer needs, safety standards and regulations
