- Most Important Artificial Intelligence – 58% of venture capitalists surveyed by Upfront Ventures think artificial intelligence is most important emerging technology to invest in over next 5-10 years
- Internet-of-Things Interest – Four in ten respondents believe there are interesting investments being made in Internet-of-Things technologies
- Much Hyped Technologies – More than half (53%) think bots-based commerce was too hyped or are deeply skeptical of technology, followed by augmented or virtual reality (34%) and blockchain (33%)
- Key Growth Drivers – Include expanding application of exponentially advancing computing power in various fields, increasing venture capital investment activity, and accelerating consumer and business adoption of emerging technologies
