  • Lack of Stable Income/Benefits – Unpredictable income (53%), unfair pay (41%), and lack of benefits, such as health insurance, (21%) cited as other challenges when working in on-demand economy
  • Key Growth Drivers – Include proliferation of cloud-based freelance platforms and crowd-based apps, increasing dependence of companies on external staff, and intangible freelancing benefits, such as time and location flexibility, as well as work variety
