Samsung introduced four new robots––Bot Care, Bot Air, Bot Retail, and GEMS––at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019

  • New Robots – Samsung showcased four new robots at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019: Bot Care, Bot Air, Bot Retail, and GEMS
  • Bot Care – Health monitoring robot that can take person’s vital signs, such as blood pressure, and send them to family, play videos of yoga sessions as well as music, and remind user to take medicine
  • Bot Air – Air purifying robot with sensors that can detect whether air in room is clean, lighting up in red when air is dirty, yellow when it is cleaning air, and green, when air is clear
  • Bot Retail – Robot designed for restaurants and retail stores, able to take customer’s order with shelf to contain food, and feature that allows people to pay with their smartphone
  • GEMS – Stands for Gait Enhancing & Motivating System (GEMS), robot works likes exoskeleton to help user with joint issues to move his or her hips, ankle, and knees when walking
