- U.S. Expansion – Helsinki-based, €9 million-funded company, Maas Global, will debut mobility app, Whim, in U.S. late 2019, in addition to currently served markets in Antwerp, Belgium; Birmingham, U.K.; Helsinki, Finland; and Vienna, Austria
- Mobility App – Offers tickets to public transportation, access to ridesharing services and taxis, and rentals for bikes, scooters and cars
- Payment Options – Has pay-as-you-go model that lets customers pay per ride with no monthly charges, and top-of-the-line service, priced at €500 ($564) per month, that gives unlimited access to all options
- Select City – Will choose between Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, and Miami as launch city in America
- Benefits – Reduces transportation costs, emissions, and demand for vehicles
- Integrations – Uses application programming interfaces (APIs), which allow creation of applications and softwares, to connect to back-ends of service providers, like Hertz, Enterprise, and EuropeCar for car rentals, plus Gett and local European taxi companies for ridesharing
- Next Steps – Will expand beyond North America into Asia, with plans underway to launch in Singapore
