- Wyoming Truck Project – WYDOT will begin pilot for connecting semi-autonomous trucks to road radio receivers by end of 2018, with goal of preventing deadly incidents on U.S. Interstate 80 expressway (I-80)
- Data Analysis – WYDOT’s Transportation Management Center uses hotspot analysis of collected data from weather stations and previous crashes to determine major road's problem areas
- Expressway Radio Installation – Partners with Lear Corporation for installation of 50 DSRC radios in signposts and infrastructures along I-80, with expectations to add more in coming months
- Vehicle Receivers – Will also provide trucking drivers and companies receivers and tablets that give alerts of weather and road conditions, while sending updated road data
- Truck Recruitment – 300 private trucks driving on I-80 have already been recruited for project
