- More Outside Sources – 54% of executives surveyed by IBM plan to leverage more external sources for innovation, such as seeking partnerships with organizations and clients, up from less than half (47%) in 2013
- Less Internal Means – Only 24% of respondents say they plan more internal innovation, compared to 38% in 2013
- Extended Partnerships – Companies looking to build expanded external networks rather than small, isolated ones to drive innovation in their organizations
