- Technology Driving Competition – 75% of CEOs believe technology will significantly impact or completely reshape competition in their industry over next five years, compared to 60% when reviewing last five years
- Few Technology Naysayers – Only 2% of CEOs believe technology will not impact competition in their industry over next five years, down from 6% over past five years
- Key Drivers – Include proliferation of startups entering markets and disrupting incumbents, rapid advancements in core technologies (e.g. computing power, connectivity, artificial intelligence, and sensors) driving innovations in various fields, cross-industry convergence, and evolving customer behavior
