- Electrify Canada – Volkswagen formed Electrify Canada, its new company that will launch ultra-fast electric vehicle direct current charging stations across Canada to encourage EV adoption, expected to become operational by 2019Q2
- Charging Infrastructure – Will deploy 150KW to 350KW charging stations for next generation EVs, while also delivering 50KW charging capacities for older, existing models
- Initial Phase – Planning to launch 32 charging stations near major highways and metro areas in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec
- Universal Applicability – Facilities that will be built can be used by any electric vehicle, regardless of make and model, with pricing yet to be announced
