  • Car Rental Partnership – Ride hailing company Lyft partnered with car rental service Avis Budget Group to provide 600,000 cars for Lyft drivers that do not want to own car to earn on Lyft platform
  • Availability – Cars will be available for rent through Lyft mobile app in few months in North America
  • Express Drive – Partnership expands Lyft's ExpressDrive program, which already works with other car rental companies Hertz and Flexdrive to offer vehicles for lease to drivers, charging weekly rates of $209 per vehicle
  • Coverage – Drivers that rent vehicles can use them for unlimited miles and covers insurance and maintenance
  • Competitor Service – Uber also has car rental program, called Uber Rent, in partnership with companies Hertz, Getaround, and Fair
