- Prominent Disease – Lung cancer is prominent form of cancer in China, with 4.3 million new patients and more than 2.8 million deaths in 2015 alone
- Provided Technologies – Intel will provide Xeon and Xeon Phi processors, algorithms, access to mathematical libraries, and deep learning software designed to analyze medical images to participants, while Alibaba will contribute cloud resources, and oncology Big Data company LinkDoc will provide high resolution computerized tomography (CT) scans to train algorithms
- More Than 500 Participants – Joined by more than 500 participants from enterprises, universities and academia
- Contest Prize – Grand prize winner will receive ¥1 million ($145,000) with winning algorithm to be used in actual diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer
