  • New AR Apps Released – Google announced at Game Developers Conference 2018 that more than 60 new augmented reality apps using ARCore, Google’s augmented reality platform released February 2018, are available at Google Play Store
  • Gaming Apps – Include My Tamagotchi Forever which lets players raise Tamagotchi characters in virtual town, Walking Dead Our World which features users fighting zombies, and TendAR which involves virtual fish that responds to facial expressions and “eats” people’s emotions
  • Retail Apps – Include Pottery Barn 360 Room View, Ikea Place, and Curate by Sotheby’s Realty that allow users to place virtual furniture and décor on real-world environments, as well as eBay’s app which lets sellers visualize container boxes for products to be shipped
  • Just a Line – Google’s own app that lets users draw on real-world environment, with code made available as open source to developers
  • AR Supported Android Phones – AR apps for now work with Google’s Pixel phones, recent Samsung phones, LGV30, Asus ZenFone AR, and OnePlus 5, with supported devices expected to grow over time
