  • Tripartite Alliance – Singapore’s Second Minister for Manpower, Josephine Teo, announced TAFEP, jointly developed by Ministry of Manpower (MOM), National Trades Union Congress, and Singapore National Employers Federation, to encourage flexible work arrangements
  • Current Employment Arrangements – Though many companies already have flexible work options, many employees are still not aware of those arrangements
  • TAFEP Adoption – Under new standard, companies are expected to appoint senior management member as advocate, inform employees of offers, process and alternatives, as well as have trained supervisors to objectively evaluate employee applications
  • Next Steps – More than 250 companies, with total of 210,000 employees, who have signed up will be listed on TAFEP’s website and can use logo identifying them as progressive employers
