  • Freelance Job Value – Though second in volume, IT earned significantly higher ($1.7 billion or 58.6% of total value) than creative jobs ($0.63 billion or 21.8% of total value)
  • Key Growth Drivers – Include proliferation of cloud-based freelance platforms (e.g. Upwork, Fiverr, 99 Designs) and crowd-based apps (e.g. Uber, YourMechanic, uShip), increasing reliance of companies on external talent, and intangible freelancing benefits (e.g. better time management, location flexibility, work variety, and creative freedom)
