- Advanced 3D Printing Research Facility – Hewlett-Packard opened one of world’s largest and most advanced 3D printing and digital manufacturing research and development facility at three acres in size, or equivalent to three football fields, in Barcelona, Spain on June 12, 2019
- Talented Workforce – Facility will bring in hundreds of experts in systems engineering, data intelligence, software, materials science, design, and 3D printing and digital manufacturing applications
- Latest 3D Printers – HP Jet Fusion laboratory will showcase company’s latest 3D printers, including 5200 series, as well as a Metal Jet lab, for industrial 3D printing and new material development
- Major Customers – Chemical company BASF, metal solutions provider GKN Metallurgy, industrial manufacturing and automations company Siemens, automotive manufacturer Volkswagen, and others to continue their 3D printing and digital manufacturing collaboration with HP at new facility
- Environment-Friendly Building – Will also feature photovoltaic canopy that will provide 110 kilowatts of power; rain water reuse for irrigation and sanitation; heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and natural light optimization; and eco-friendly construction materials
- Existing 3D Printing Centers – Include facilities in Corvallis, Oregon; Palo Alto, California; San Diego, California; Vancouver, Washington; Barcelona, Spain; and Singapore
