  • Features – Has eight imaging processing units (IPU) capable of more than three trillion operations per second, enabling HDR+ (high dynamic range) image processing five times faster while using only tenth of energy as running on regular CPU
  • Currently Dormant – Chip is currently dormant, not even used by Google's camera app, as it awaits to be enabled in launch of developer preview of Android Oreo 8.1
  • Other Applications – Could also be used for other imaging and machine learning applications
