- Sustainable Packaging – Samsung Electronics announced it will start using environmentally sustainable materials, like recycled or bio-based plastics and paper, for consumer electronics packaging in 2019 H1
- Task Force – Will form dedicated task force, which will come up with innovative packaging ideas in design and development, purchasing, marketing, and quality control
- Responsible Sourcing – Will source fiber materials certified by global environmental organizations (e.g. Forest Stewardship Council, Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Scheme, and Sustainable Forestry Initiative) for packaging and manuals by 2020
- Overall Impact – Estimates 500,000 tons of recycled plastics will be used, and 7.5 million tons of discarded products will be collected (cumulative from 2009) by 2030
