  • Password Checkup – Google announced new Chrome extension, called Password Checkup, that automatically checks if user name and password have been compromised in data breaches
  • Password Reset – Once it detects user credentials have been breached, Google prompts user to change password
  • Techniques – Include anonymization and cryptography, using technique called “blinding” to create secret search index, so that Google never learns account details
  • Cross Account Protection – Another security feature that alerts other apps and sites if Google account details used for login have been breached
