Proof Point Findings
- Flexible Arrangements – Developers want more flexible arrangements to improve work-life balance, such as flexible hours (89%), remote work options (81%), and more focus on output than hours (79%)
- More Vacation/Time Off – More than half (54% to 55%) want more vacation and paid-time off, with 41% preferring no e-mails after work hours
- Side Projects – 41% interested in side projects to foster creativity and break routine
- Health Initiatives – Four in ten also interested in more health initiatives, such as fitness programs and healthcare
- Key Growth Drivers – Include increased competition for talent among technology and non-technology firms, growing demand for greater work flexibility, rising number of Millennials in workforce, and proliferation of social and/or collaboration platforms
