- Blockchain-Based Ridesharing – Chinese ride-hailing app founder Chen Weixing of Kuaidi Dache announced plans to build ridesharing platform based on blockchain called VV Share that could rival Didi Chuxing and Uber
- Kuaidi Dache Background – Ridesharing company merged with competitor Didi Dache in 2015 to form Didi Chuxing, now largest ridehailing service in China
- Undisclosed Platform – Has not yet disclosed which blockchain platform will be used to develop app, but has plans to make platform open for developers to build apps, such as wallets, crypto exchanges, and data analysis
- Benefits – Will share information about drivers and rides among users in timely and transparent way, enabling user, for example, to make emergency call and network of drivers and police can respond accordingly
- Expansion - Will start with ridesharing (VV Go), and then move to other sectors including bed & breakfast stays (VV Stay), takeout (VV Eats), airline tickets sharing (VV Fly)
- Partnership – Platform to be developed in partnership with Yang Jun, co-founder of Meituan, group discount app based in China
