- Increased Focus on High-Tech Industries – According to Preqin survey of venture capital fund managers, three of four, or 77%, preferred information technology industry for venture capital investments in 2016, followed by healthcare and telecommunications, with 52% respectively
- Least Favorable Industries – More traditional industries, such as food and agriculture (18%), materials (17%), and real estate (4%) not attracting significant attention from investors
