- Consumer Responsibility – 70% of respondents in 2018 GlobalWebIndex study believe individuals and consumers have most responsibility for future of environment, referring to sustainable purchases
- Sustainable Business Practices – Majority of U.S. and U.K. citizens surveyed also deemed manufacturers and production bodies responsible for the environment, potentially moving to more sustainable business practices
- Influencing Authorities – Four to five respondents think national and local governments, both with decision-making power in terms of policy development, should also be responsible for the environment
- Key Growth Drivers – Include rising consumer concern for climate change and global warming, wider adoption of sustainable business practices, increasing viability and quality of sustainable products and services, and growing pressure from consumers and institutions to reduce environmental impact
