- Automated Adoption – IT automation (43%) ranked as top tech trend used by IT organizations in North America and Europe, followed by advanced security (38%) and virtual SAN (30%)
- Rising Advanced Security – 28% of organizations plan to adopt advanced security applications in next 12 months, closely followed by IT automation, virtual SAN, IoT and hyperconvergence (i.e. IT framework combining storage, computing, and network into single system to reduce data center complexity and increase scalability) by 2018
- Lagging Trends – VR, 3D printing and AI also forecasted to grow but will remain least adopted technologies in 2018
- Key Growth Drivers – Includes growing demand for technological solutions, increasing IT budget allocation and rapidly emerging IT products
