- Software Security – More than eight in ten respondents of global accounting firm Binder Dijker Otte's (BDO) survey used new software security tools to address cybersecurity and data privacy concerns in 2017
- Assessment and Plans – Additionally, 79% of companies performed risk assessment, while 66% created response plan for security breaches
- Hiring Expert – Some respondents also hired experts to drive cybersecurity initiatives, such as chief security officer (37%) and external security consultant (35%)
